Now that I’m living in Bangkok, which is the center of Theravada Buddhism, I think it’s only appropriate that I connect with the spiritual side of me more. Subsequently, that also means writing about more spiritual topics in my blog too, which I had previously mentioned that I had wanted to do. Today I want to share with you Eluv’s Chakra Meditation & Guided Visualization.
I’ve been using this meditation for the past year. I started using it when I applied with Agoda. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to attract my dream job if I still had a lot of negative energy within me and surrounding me, so I wanted to release all of that. I looked for guides online, and was surprised that Spotify actually had quite a few audio tracks for guided meditation. Eluv’s tracks are my favorite. There’s something about her voice and how she puts together the music that is very ethereal. It’s very easy to get into a spiritual mood just by listening to her.
When I started, I was just focused on breathing and letting my imagination recreate the images and scents that the meditation was suggesting. Recently I’ve gotten to the point where I can fully relax and not be bothered by whatever sensory stimulus is going on around me. In complete darkness, I can actually start to see the colors form in front of my eyes. They’re not always the same colors that the audio track is talking about, but I just take it as meaning that those are the energies that I really need at that point of time.
If you’re just starting to learn how to meditate, just relax and focus on visualizing the images and imagining the scents. Don’t get too worried if you fall asleep halfway through. That still happens to me sometimes. Ultimately your mind and your body will tell you what you need, and your spirit will help attract that to you.

This meditation is designed to align your essential energy centers, your seven chakras, restoring balance in your physical and emotional body, and connecting you with a deeper sense of peace and inner strength.
You will connect with a quiet place deep within you. It is here in this quiet place that transformation and healing can take place, rejuvenating your mind, body, and spirit, grounding and relaxing you.
We will begin by grounding and connecting ourselves with the Earth. Begin by making yourself comfortable, either lying down or comfortably seated with both your hands and legs uncrossed so as to allow the energy to flow freely through your body and your spine.
See yourself standing on the earth barefoot. You may be standing on grass, sand, or even in a shallow stream. As your feet connect with the earth, feel the energy underneath your feet. It may be hot or cool or lukewarm. You may want to move or stretch your toes to feel the texture of the earth underneath your feet.
Now imagine from your feet running into the earth are roots, like on a large oak tree, reaching far into the core of Mother Earth, stabilizing you and grounding you. Take a few deep breaths as you continue to connect with Mother Earth. As you go through the meditation, you may release any negative energy through your feet, through the roots, down to Mother Earth’s core. She will recycle the energy for you. Most importantly, this will be done through your breath. This color chakra breathing is cleansing and revitalizing. You will be breathing in fresh, pure, colored light energy and releasing any negative or blocked energy as you breathe out. Remember to breathe.
Before we start, let’s take a moment to give thanks. You may follow out loud or repeat silently. I give thanks and acknowledge myself for having the strength and courage to work towards my own transformation. I have patience with myself and the time it takes to manifest changes in my life. I am able to simply be in this experience and allow the healing to take place effortlessly without any resistance. I get out of my own way. I trust the process. With continued practice, I see the results of my transformation, growth, and healing. I experience my inner strength increasing in every way each day. I embrace this journey with my heart and mind open. I give thanks to my higher self for guiding me to this place.
All of your breathing should be steady, rhythmical, and comfortable. Place your hands on your stomach, palms down, with your fingertips touching each other. Make sure to make any adjustments you need in order to achieve your own flowing, wave-like rhythm. All breathing is done by taking the breath in through the nose and letting the breath out through a slightly opened mouth. You’ll begin by inhaling the breath slowly and deeply in all the way down to the stomach. Feel your fingertips separate as you bring the breath down to your stomach and expand your abdomen. Hold this breath for a count of three, then exhale very slowly and completely. As you release the breath, contract your abdomen. Make sure the rest of your body remains fully relaxed. Remember as you go through the meditation, you may release any negative energy through your feet, through the roots, down to Mother Earth’s core. She will recycle the energy for you.
We are now ready to begin our color light chakra breathing. As we go through each chakra, you will be given a color light and fragrance to visualize and imagine as you take each deep breath in. Breathe the color light and fragrance in as deeply as you can through your whole body. Feel it enveloping and energizing your body, saturating every pore in your body with each healing color light and its corresponding healing fragrance. As you breathe outwards, you may see this breath changing color as you release any blocked energies, thoughts, or toxins from your body. This is perfectly normal. On the out breath, if you see the color changing, visualize any congested energy leaving your body through your feet, through your roots, down to Mother Earth. Stay with it until the color is pure and becomes either the chakra color again or you may see it turn to white light as these energies are cleansed, cleared, and released out of your body.
Meditation & Guided Visualization
Let us begin the color light chakra meditation.
Visualization: Imagine you are breathing in the color light energy of a beautiful, ruby red sunrise. The energy is warming and strengthening. Visualize it coming in with each breath as it moves through your whole being, swirling and gathering at the base of the spine at your root chakra. As you breathe in, imagine the smell of freshly potted soil, sweet and earthy. Envelope yourself with the ruby red color as you continue to breathe in. Release anything you don’t need any longer on your out breath. Take your time. As things come up, let them drift through then let them go. Remember to breathe. Breathe in the ruby red light. Feel it flowing through every pore in your whole body and concentrating at the base of your spine at your root chakra. Feel your fingertips separate as you bring the breath down to your stomach and expand your abdomen.
Affirmation: I am grounded and have the willpower and strength to experience all that comes to me on my path. I am able to manifest all that I wish to manifest and have the energy required to do so. Courage is within me and is awakened now.
Visualization: Imagine you are breathing in the color light energy of a revitalizing wash of fresh orange light as it bathes you with a warm envelope of self-confidence and courage. With each breath in, visualize a vortex of orange color light flowing through your whole body, swirling and gathering at the mid-point between your navel and sexual organs, releasing any blockages and anxieties, giving you a sense of freedom and divine wisdom that supports you in everything you do. Smell the sweet fragrance of freshly peeled mandarins, or white gardenias, and allow the orange light to envelope your whole body. All breathing is done by taking the breath in through the nose, by inhaling the breath slowly and deeply in all the way down to the stomach and letting the breath out through a slightly opened mouth. Breathe in the fresh orange light. Feel it flowing through every pore in your whole body and concentrating at the mid-point between your navel and sexual organs at your sacral chakra.
Affirmation: I assimilate and digest all that comes to me using both the positive and the negative equally to nourish and nurture me. I integrate both equally knowing that both are energy that I can use positively. It is my choice. I let go of my need to react negatively and allow the energy to dissolve gently, transforming it once again into positive. This brings me self-confidence knowing that I no longer need to react in the ways that I have in the past. I now take a moment, with awareness, to choose my reaction.
Visualization: Imagine a wash of glorious yellow rays of sunshine light, cleansing and bathing you in a cocoon of yellow sunshine light energy, flowing through your whole body. With each breath in, visualize the vortex of yellow sunshine light swirling and gathering at your navel. Allow it to gently warm and surround you with clear-minded thought, joy, and a bright, sunny state of mind. With each breath in, imagine the crisp, clean smell of freshly cut lemons cleansing and purifying your whole body, revitalizing and strengthening your central nervous system and your immune system. Remember to breathe by inhaling the breath slowly and deeply in all the way down to the stomach.
Affirmation: I activate my personal power to attain positive solutions. I am balanced in my emotions. I am nurtured and safe. I can now release my fears, replacing them with understanding and creativity. It is OK to say no. When I say no to others, I am saying yes to myself.
Visualization: With each breath in, imagine the color light of a lush green forest flowing throughout your body, bringing you an expansive, relaxed awareness and uplifting you with natural calmness and organic healing energy, circulating and gathering around your heart. Your heart radiates openness and compassion. As you breathe in, imagine the smell of fresh lavender, calming and relaxing you. You may also smell the moist forest air, filled with the fragrance of pine needles, uplifting and calming you at the same time. Breathe in the lush green light. Feel it flowing through every pore in your whole body, concentrating at your heart chakra.
Affirmation: I am one with all that exists. As I open my heart, I experience unconditional love and a deep sense of peace flowing towards me and from me, flowing outwards to all beings and peoples and situations. I offer forgiveness to myself and others. I am love…
Visualization: With each breath in, imagine a purifying, bright neon blue light circulating throughout your body, swirling and gathering at your throat and in through your ears, flushing your body from toxins and any unwanted substances, stimulating your immune system, cleansing and connecting you with your power through your words. With each breath in, imagine the smell of fragrant eucalyptus, purifying you of any negative energy that you are holding on to. Breathe in the purifying neon blue light. Feel it flowing through every pore in your whole body and concentrating at your throat chakra.
Affirmation: I no longer need to hold back my true potential. I express freely my creativity, my power, and my truthfulness through my words and through my actions. I am energized.
Visualization: With each breath in, imagine a pure violet light flowing throughout your body, swirling and gathering between your brows at your third eye, about an inch deep into your head, pulsating in a vortex of energy, cleansing your thoughts and allowing your vision and personal insight to be crystal clear and your intuition to expand and grow. Your spiritual awakening is activated. With each breath in, imagine the sweet smell of honeysuckle flowers, or freshly ground nutmeg, enveloping your whole body in the violet light. Breathe in the violet light. Feel it flowing through every pore in your whole body and concentrating between your brows at your third eye chakra.
Affirmation: I see clearly all that is. My inner knowledge and wisdom is awakened to guide me on the right path as I awaken my mind’s eye. I trust and acknowledge my own inner wisdom and trust in the process. I’m awakened in my own possibilities and my fullest true potential.
Visualization: With each breath in, imagine a pure white light radiating throughout your body, circulating and gathering at the top of your head around your crown chakra, bringing you a sense of total purification of your mind, body, and soul, surrounding you with a vortex of protecting healing light and pure enlightenment.
Affirmation: I have trust in my true self and the divine connection to my own spiritual wisdom. I am connected to the infinite source of manifestation and abundance, and experience this in every way, everyday.
Closing Meditation: With each breath in, imagine the fragrance of a gorgeous pink rose permeating your whole being. Visualize the most beautiful pink rose color washing all over your body, drenching you in a gorgeous pink rose color light and beautiful pink rose fragrance. Allow the rose light and rose fragrance to totally saturate you and form a cocoon around your body.
Closing prayer: You may follow the closing prayer either out loud or silently to yourself. I give thanks for my own healing and the healing of others as a direct result of my healing myself. I give thanks for the opportunity to let go of the emotions and things that have happened in the past that I don’t need to carry with me any longer. I give thanks for a gentle healing and letting go of that which I no longer need. I welcome into my life more creativity, abundance, joy, peace, and good health; each day in every way. With each breath of beautiful pink rose light energy, I fill my whole being with inner peace and tranquility. I send this love and healing energy, gratitude, compassion, and understanding to those I love and care for and all others in the world.
Take a few moments to radiate this beautiful pink, healing love energy outwards. Thank Mother Earth for taking in your negative energy and recycling it for you. And then when you’re ready, come back into the room. As you begin to come back, remember to breathe deeply and evenly. Take your time. Gently move your body or stretch as you come back, and slowly open your eyes. Continue to breathe slowly, deeply, and evenly.
